On Friday, 01 March, the hearX Group team had the privilege to visit the Motsu Park Community Hall in Tembisa for World Hearing Day, as part of an initiative by the World Health Organization. The purpose of this day is to draw attention to the importance of early identification and intervention for hearing loss.

We celebrated this very special day by providing free hearing screening for 177 people aged between 16 and 60, using our hearScreen technology.

We also offered free on-site diagnostic follow-ups using our hearTest and hearScope technologies, as well as free wax removal by qualified audiologists.

We had the opportunity to listen to hearing loss awareness presentations and we were honoured to share in the journeys and testimonies of people living with hearing loss.

Using our world-first hearing screening solutions, we were able to screen the people for hearing loss with our low-cost, easy-to-use, clinically-validated products.

We are happy to say that the majority of the people have healthy hearing and that those with hearing issues had the opportunity to receive free on-site help.

Our team had such a great day and would like to thank the South African National Department of Health, Pheme Consulting and everyone who participated and contributed in our vision of bringing healthy hearing to everyone, everywhere! a hearing_day_tembisa_2019_cover.jpg
