Chivas Venture

The Chivas Venture is an annual competition that sees entrepreneurs compete for a share of $1million in funding for their world changing social impact start-ups. It rewards innovative start-ups that use business to solve global social or environmental challenges and social entrepreneurs with a mission to create a better future. hearX Group is one of 5 finalists in the 2018 Chivas Venture. TT100 Awards Programme

The TT100 Business Innovation Awards 2017 in Johannesburg on 15 November 2017 recognised South Africa’s most innovative companies for being role models in the management of innovation and technology. The recipients of the awards demonstrated excellence in the management of technology, innovation, people, and systems. This is based on The Da Vinci Institute’s trademarked TIPS framework. The hearX Group was honoured with two prestigious awards:

  • The Department of Science and Technology Director-General Award for Overall Excellence: Small Enterprise
  • The TT100 Award for Excellence in the Management of Innovation: Small Enterprise



Accenture Innovation Index

The Accenture Innovation Index measures, recognises and rewards innovation and systems of innovation in organisations of all sizes in the South African public and private sectors every year. The Index is designed to provide a national benchmark for innovation, providing businesses and policymakers with an authoritative and objective snapshot of the state of innovation within their organisations and in South Africa. In 2017 hearX Group received the Accenture Innovation Award in the Small Enterprises Concept category for our HearScreen concept.

Accelerate2030 in partnership with the Impact Hub

Accelerate2030 is a 9-month programme co-initiated by Impact Hub Geneva and the UNDP, with a mission to scale the impact of ventures that contribute towards the Sustainable Development Goals internationally. hearX was selected as one of three finalists from South Africa by Accelerate2030 for our flagship product, hearScreen™, and then competed against 49 other projects from around the world to be chosen as one of the 10 projects to participate in the Accelerate2030 programme starting in October. Our CEO, Nic Klopper, spent time with all finalists in Geneva to network and grow the global impact towards reaching the sustainable development goals.
